RSV vaccination for pregnant women

A new RSV maternal vaccine, Abrysvo®, is now available on the National Immunisation Program (NIP) for pregnant women from 28 to 36 weeks gestation. Maternal vaccination with Abrysvo® protects newborn babies from severe RSV in the first 6 months of life through the transfer of maternal antibodies to the foetus during pregnancy.

 




Mr Joey Jiayi Huang ( Physiotherapist)

We would like to welcome Joey (Jiayi Huang) who is from Inspire Life Physiotherapy, graduated from the University of Sydney with Master degree in 2018 and has been working in the Physiotherapy field for years. He was working in different settings including hospital, aged care, community, private practices, and gained abundant experience.

 He always put his clients as the first point for caring about their health and received plenty of positive feedback from his clients and their doctors. He combines hands - on techniques and exercises by using an evidence - bases approach to help the clients all the time.

MyMedicare Registration

MyMedicare patient registration has commenced to enable patients to access additional care from their nominated practice. Patients will be eligible for long telehealth consultations, greater access to continuity of care and improving health outcomes with their registered practice

You can register through MyGov by selecting the Medicare tile to find MyMedicare Registration. 

Search for T1 Norwest Medical Practice and then select your preferred GP from the dropdown menu.

Mask Update

Masks are no longer mandatory but advisable. However, all patients including children over 12 with flu like symptoms- fever, cough, headaches, sore throat, runny nose or shortness of breath, vomiting or diarrhoea must still wear a mask when entering the surgery. 

Covid 19 positive patients must not enter the surgery. Please organise a telehealth consultation





Shingles and Pneumonia Vaccine

Shingrix -  vaccine for shingles is available free for people age 65 and over. Two doses are required. 

Prevenar – “pneumonia vaccine” is available free for people aged 70 years old and over. It is a once off vaccination.
